If you are interested in Fair Trade and want to have a fruitful professional experience, you should consider engaging with us as a volunteer or a trainee. WFTO-Europe's team will help you improve your knowledge, trying to make sure you get the most out of it! 

Even a few hours per week (on a regular basis) can make a difference for Fair Trade!

We are especially (but not only) looking for people who have skills and/or experience in at least one of the following areas:

- Computer Engineering and Web Design; to assist with several programs and applications, and to help update the content and presentation of our website. 

- Administration; to assist with the daily business, new databases, documentation and updates.     

- Communication; to help develop our internal and external communication strategy, including in social networks.

- Fundraising and Project Management; to support our fundraising and project activities and events.

- Campaign and Events; to contribute to the planning and implementation of specific campaigns and the organisation of events.

- Translation; Native European languages' translators to help with updates for our website and other documents.

We strongly encourage applications from candidates who can perform different tasks across the areas mentioned above. Volunteers should also indicate how many days/hours per week than can volunteer and whether they can do it 'online' or only at our Brussels office. The Office's working language is English, but knowledge of French, Spanish and other European languages is also highly valued. 

Please note that all our current opportunities are unpaid. Candidates with scholarships (see, for example, the Erasmus Student Mobility for Work Placement or the Leonardo da Vinci actions), those required to complete a training period as part of their academic degree, and those who can commit for a period of 6 months or more may be preferred. The beginning of a volunteering/traineeship period may be discussed but please indicate your availability/preferences (we currently have NO traineeship vacancies to begin before October 2012; volunteers still welcome).

"When I was offered the chance to help the European Office of the World Fair Trade Organization, I looked at it as perhaps a good way for me to practice my Spanish and volunteer during some free time.
